Sanitation beyond even the water that comes out of your sink, shower or bathroom taps..

Floatation tank hygiene

Floating is extremely sanitary due to the high concentration of Epsom salts which kill 99% of bacteria. The water in our flotation tanks is passed through a five-micron filter after every float session.  Our tank water solution contains 0.02 % hydrogen peroxide which assists in eliminating any virus, bacteria and fungus.  Customers are required to shower before entering the float tank and post float. We take every precaution to provide you with the cleanest, safest and most relaxing experience available.

Additionally, our tanks are managed using a strict set of testing protocols. The water is tested every day for pH balancing, sterilisation and temperatures. Our specially designed filters are capable of screening the water down to as little as 1 micron (100th the size of a hair).  After each float session the powerful filtration system is automatically activated to ensure our tanks are clean and sterile at all times.

The solution in the tanks is automatically kept at a constant temperature and is inherently sterile due to the high concentration of dissolved Epsom salts (Magnesium Sulphate).  Buoyancy readings need to be taken every  week to ensure that sufficient salt is dissolved in the solution.

General tank maintenance is very similar to that of a spa or swimming pool. After each session it is necessary to wipe salt from the external surfaces of the tank and at the same time a small amount of disinfectant is administered to the tank solution to ensure complete hygiene.
